Pastors and Church Leaders

Never before have pastors been under such pressure, pastors and church leaders are feeling the pain of ministering in turbulent times. Our churches are struggling. Christians are leaving the church, and pastors are burning out at alarming rates. Pastors and church leaders are in dire need of training on how to provide effective ministry to communities in transition.

HIS Ministries provides training for pastors and church boards on developing effective outreach programs for changing communities. During Stan Perea's tenure as the Director of Urban Ministries for the Reformed Church in America, he developed a curriculum to train church leaders in the areas of self care, knowing and understanding how power works, community networking and organizing, effective church administration, identifying developing and accessing community resources, and outreach in multicultural settings.

HIS Ministries has adapted this five day intensive training curriculum in order to present it in single half-day or full day seminars.

The training is tailored to your individual church and your community. We will teach you how to exegete the community surrounding your church. In addition, we provide consultations on reconciliation related to strife in your congregation or group. Contact us for more information.

Bible Students

HIS Ministries provides scholarships for persons interested in preparing for ministry to at risk families and children.

We have assisted several students through Bible College, Seminary, and other colleges. Two of the students now run effective sizeable youth programs for disadvantaged youth in Tulare and Modesto California.

One of the students, who directed our successful pilot PASS Program, completed a degree in Criminal Justice and is presently working with at-risk youth.

One student has completed his Doctoral Thesis in the joint PhD programs at Denver University and Iliff School of Theology. His dissertation is on Latino Theology. Another of our students has graduated from Moody Aviation School and is a pilot with Mission Aviation Fellowship. He and his wife and children serve in Indonesia.
